Emma was attending a wedding yesterday, so I got Caitlin for the afternoon.
We spent the afternoon playing SSX, messing around in the music room, and doing the dishes. Then she watched a video and played on the computer for a bit, and I spent my time reading stuff about celtic mythology on the couch.
All in all not an unpleasant day.
After Emma had taken her home, I spent what was left of the evening writing. Ideas are starting to form now, which is a good thing, not quite complete enough for my liking yet, but enough that I got some real words down, not just notes.
On retiring to read, I finished K.J. Bishop’s Etched City. It was rather different to anything I’ve read lately, and very difficult to pin down – just when you thought you understood it, it changed. It got rather surreal at points too. But it was very enjoyable, and definitely worth reading, especially if you’re getting tired of standard fantasy stuff.

Today I had all sorts of plans, I was going to finally do something about this site, I was going to finish setting up monitoring software, I was going to look at more CMS products, I was going to work on some music….
But it was Sunday…so I ended up listlessly poking at web sites, and wandering around the house aimlessly, until I finaly gave up around 3ish and curled up on the couch to get back to reading A Game of Thrones, pausing every now and then to lurk on the web again, or poke at my story.
I am now going to do a little more poking before heading to bed.
