I’m back. Have stuff to say about Supanova, so that was enough motivation to get something together again.
I figured I’d also take the oportunity to try out WordPress, rather than Movable Type – So far I’m pretty impressed, there seems to be lots of nice features, and it looks like it certainly won’t be any worse than MT.
If it works out, I’ll prolly migrate the CN site as well – though I’m still debating moving that to ezPublish, or some other full CMS.
Another thing that has helped provide some motivation was the discovery of Open Source Web Design (although they seem to be temporarily dead right now, hopefully they’ll be back by the time anyone reads this, or I’ll feel rather silly). It’s a massive repository of free layouts for web sites. Mostly corporate sites and blogs, but that covers 99% of the web anyway ;)
There’s quite a few really good ideas in there, so I’m going to trawl it to find a decent design to canibalize for here.
Anyway, should probably go to bed now, not enough sleep in the last few days.
