We were in the supermarket this afternoon, and Caitlin came bounding up to me holding a small pink magazine in her hands. She hadn’t even managed to start asking for it before she got the automatic “No” answer.
Then I stopped and actually looked at it. And rather than being some horrible thing designed to the sole purpose of enlisting children to convince their parents to buy things, it was actually a sudoku puzzle magazine. I stopped, and looked at it again, then asked her if she knew how to do them. She said yes, so my “No” quickly became “yesletmebuythatforyourightnowbeforeyouchangeyourmind”
