Fuck you Samba, fuck you Vista, and fuck you Ubuntu.

ubuntu and samba work just fine, vista is the problem. its just another one of microsofts many oversights due to an obsession with making the gui aspect all flashy and stuff.

  2. mabinogi says:

No, Ubuntu and Samba do not work at all.
Samba on its own works fine, and works fine as Samba on Ubuntu when you configure it correctly.
However, Ubuntu does not provide a working Samba, or the means to make it work with a Windows host without manually editing the smb.conf. So to say that “Ubuntu and Samba” work just fine is incorrect.
